Postpartum Planning
Having planned & prepared for the weeks after birth will allow for a smoother and ease-filled transition into motherhood.
In the modern world, we as a collective have forgotten how to care for mothers after birth. Many newborn mothers find themselves overwhelmed, anxious, depleted & exhausted during a time that is regarded as a sacred window of time.
This is for you if:
you are desiring a road map to prepare for your postpartum period
it’s your first time and seeking ways to prepare yourself mentally and emotionally;
your previous postpartum experience was overwhelming and this time you desire to feel more prepared, organised and receive a deeper level of care and nourishment.
These Postpartum Planning Sessions are educational and personalised in nature to meet your unique circumstances and family dynamics.

Postpartum “is a time for complete rejuvenation of a woman’s physical, mental, and spiritual health. A time for deep, extended bonding with her newborn. The first 42 days after birth set the stage for her next 42 years.” - Ysha Oakes, Postpartum Ayurvedic Doula
Pregnancy & birth is tremendous work on the body. The weeks after birth our body is recovering, whilst we are simultaneously learning & nourishing our newborn baby. We are moving through biological, hormonal changes that at times can feel confusing and confronting. Feeding your baby in those early weeks is more than a full time job!
Having planned and prepared for the weeks after birth will allow for a smoother, more ease filled transition into motherhood. You will feel more prepared and confident (as can be); supported & nurtured vs feeling overwhelmed, exhausted and under supported.
During our planning session we will:
Discuss why your immediate postpartum period is a sacred window of time by returning to our physiologic blueprint.
Explore cross-cultural practices that nourish postpartum mothers, and how you can incorporate elements into your postpartum period.
Get clear on your intention, desires, & expectations for your fourth trimester; discuss any anticipated challenges and create a plan to move through with ease, support, and nourishment.
Talk about the role of your partner, and ways that they can feel prepared and solid in their support; and ways you can prepare your home and village so you can experience deep rest, nourishing foods, physical & emotional support.
Plan for the types of meals you would like to have made FOR you, and your family.
And more!
We can connect in person or online, for a 2 hour postpartum planning session.
Included is a 30 minute follow up call 1 week later to go over anything that may have arisen since our initial planning session.
This second session is done virtually.
